Bonfire #1 tonight.

It was fun

Thank you to my friends for nudging me to go. And for some of you who outright Pulled me. :)

Thanks to the wonderful guys who hosted the event at their home. The 2 fires made it even more fun.

Gods timing is perfect. The more I learn the more certian I am.

I am thankful that I have found my niche.
I love learning ASL and the Deaf culture, even if sometimes I am completly confused.
I am enjoying all the new people and traditions.
The Deaf people for the most part are a unique and wonderful community that I am glad I get to experience and learn from. You all rock.

Mid-Terms

Hello everyone!

Im Sorry ,I kind of fell off the face of the earth for a little bit.  Its midterm week. I have not had time to check either my email or facebook. 3 out of my 4 midterms are done. I am in the process of writing a paper. I decided I needed a break.

ASL is still a beautiful language. I still think eveyone should learn it.

BUT
I think you need to be ready to have very little time for anything else. Lesson learned this semester? Take a FUN class. I do not have one this semester, it is all intensive. I am not complaining. I just wish I had added a fun class to take a little pressure off. There is tons of stuff to learn, its not just vocabulary its also mannerisums ect.  I am learning tons...

Yesterday in a class we had an interpreter talk about the job, and the pro's and con's of being a free lance interpreter. She had some great information including: schooling requirements, state testing, nationl testing and Pay rates.

My home computer is still down for the count so I am using the librarys.

Try to take one day at a time.. Unless you have papers to write then maybe try to work a few weeks ahead. :)

Pax to all

Update

Sorry I have been gone so long.

This semester's homework is taking more time than I expected.
I need to work on balancing school and real life. At this point I am living, breathing and sleeping ASL.

I am doing a 5k in the morning.it's not timed. Its partially for school.

NOW its time  to do something to get my body moving.I need a break for my brain.ASL is great, and I enjoy it,however, I need to continue to do stuff that is not related to school.

I am considering doing a 5K in December.I vaguely remember the high from doing one this time last year.

This one in December as a matter of fact: http://www.hotchocolate15k.com/stlouis/
There is a 5K, I'm not planning on doing the 15k.
Its right after FINALS WEEK. I will be done with this semester. I am thinking if I start now it will  help keep the nerves down during that week. Plus I will be motivated to do it  because I have already paid for it. Its a reason to get up and go for a "RUN"(WALK). Plus it gets me outside to absorb more vitamin D
Thanks for listening to my ramblings for tonight.
